About Arclightscope

We Start at the Slab Yard

Arclightscope is a countertop shop working out of Market St in Riverside, in the 92506 ZIP. Kitchens, islands, vanities, laundry tops and bar runs, in quartz, granite, quartzite and the occasional slab of marble for somebody who knows what they are taking on.

What we do differently is the order. Most shops hand you a sample board, take a deposit against a colour name, and order material later. We put the yard visit first, because the slab is the product and everything else is labour.

Why That Matters More Than It Sounds

Stone is quarried in blocks and sawn into slabs like slices off a loaf. Slabs from one block resemble each other. Slabs from another block sold under the same trade name may not. A two inch chip cannot tell you how heavy the movement gets, where the veining crowds, or whether the piece your kitchen comes out of has a pale band running through the middle of it.

So we meet you at the yard, pull bundles, stand slabs up in daylight and let you tag one. From that point the conversation is concrete. We know the material cost, we know the usable area, and we know what the seam layout has to work around.

Testimonials

“They talked me out of the marble I walked in wanting, then found me a quartzite that looks like it and does not stain. Two years in and it still looks new.” Dana R., Canyon Crest.

“We picked our own slab and saw the seam drawn on a photo before anything was cut. The seam is behind the sink and I have to point it out to people.” Miguel A., the Wood Streets.

“I called about replacing the whole kitchen and was told half of it just needed polishing and sealing. They did that instead. I will use them when I actually need new tops.” Priya S., Orangecrest.

The Local Part

Riverside kitchens have their own quirks. Heavy west sun through a big window will fade some resin heavy quartz colours over years and will make a dark honed surface too hot to lean on in August. A lot of the tract housing sits on slab, and slab settlement shows up as cabinet runs that are no longer level, which has to be found at template rather than on install day.

We work the yards in Riverside, Corona and along the 60, so we generally know what is on the racks that week and what has just landed.
